Hermantown Softball Blanks Esko in Season Opener

Geisen hits two-run home run

ESKO, Minn.- The Hermantown softball team started their season on all the right notes as they delivered a 11-0 blowout win against Esko on Friday.

After three scoreless innings, the Hawks’ bats came alive, starting with freshman Bryden Geisen hitting a two-run home run to break the stalemate.

Hermantown (1-1) will host Superior on Thursday in the Hawks’ home opener. Esko (3-2) defeated Duluth Marshall 17-1 on Friday prior to their game against Hermantown and will face Proctor on Monday.
