Prep Baseball: Esko, Hermantown Stay Undefeated With Thursday Wins
Esko takes down Proctor 7-3, Hermantown tops Denfeld 8-1
ESKO, Minn.- Esko and Hermantown each proved their strength on the diamond on Thursday as they each put their undefeated records on the line.
Esko defeated Proctor 7-3, improving to 4-0 in 2024. The defending state champions were scheduled to face Duluth Marshall on Friday, but that game has been postponed. Meanwhile, Proctor (2-1) will be in Maple Grove on Friday to face Rock Ridge.
Esko isn’t the only local powerhouse with a spotless record. Hermantown moved to 3-0 as they defeated Duluth Denfeld 8-1 at Wade Stadium. The Hawks will look to follow Esko’s lead with a win against Proctor on Tuesday. As for Denfeld, the Hunters (2-4) are hitting the road on Friday for an outing against Chisago Lakes.
