Shepard Wins Harry “Haps” Memorial Award, Also Named to AHL First Team

Shepard would lead the league in saves percentage and goals against average.

DULUTH, Minn.- Cohasset native and former Bulldog Hunter Shepard has collected some hardware for his efforts in the AHL this season.

Shepard and teammate Clay Stevenson were awarded the Harry “Haps” Memorial Award. The award is given annually to the goaltending duo who allows the fewest goals in the AHL.

Shepard was also named to the AHL first team.

This year, he would lead the league in saves percentage and goals against average. He’s also the only goalie to have a goals against average under two.
