Italian-American Club Preparing For Annual Spaghetti Dinner
DULUTH, Minn. — Preparations are taking place for an annual dinner focused on supporting a great cause.
The Italian-American Club in Duluth is hosting their spaghetti and meatball dinner on Wednesday. Being prepared is about 2,700 meatballs and 48 gallons of sauce. For years the club has hosted the dinner to help raise money for scholarships. Along with the delicious dinner, there will be a raffle with cash prizes.
The highlight of the dinner is of course the traditional meatballs.
“Everybody carries on grandma’s old meatballs; you don’t change nothing. You don’t monkey around, this is grandmas. It’s what you do,” said Jerry Michelizzi, board member.
The Italian-American Club Spaghetti Dinner is Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. That’s at American Legion at 5814 Grand Avenue in Duluth. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Take out is also available.
