Growing Duluth Expands Offerings Of Spring Plants

DULUTH, Minn. — A local gardening business is expanding their offerings starting on Friday.

Growing Duluth opened in September of 2023 originally selling growing supplies, house plants, and micro-greens. But they were always getting asked; are you going to sell spring plants? Well, that question has been answered. The store now offers a variety of outdoor plants all in different sizes from zinnias, petunias, different vegetables, and herbs. And the outdoor plants are here just in time for the season.

“There’s just a connection with nature that people get to experience. Then you get to see the fruits of your labor expand throughout the summer and we have such a short green season here in Duluth, you gotta enjoy it,” said Louis Kolthoff, co-owner of Growing Duluth.

Growing Duluth also offers easy care plants for those who do not have that green thumb. They are open 6 days a week from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
