Cloquet Softball Tops Esko for First Time in Five Years, South Ridge Extends Win Streak to 7

Cloquet improves to 10-6 and will next play at Proctor on Tuesday. South Ridge is now 12-4 and will host Two Harbors on Wednesday.

CLOQUET, Minn.- The Cloquet softball team did something on Monday that they haven’t done since 2019.

And that’s defeat Esko.

The Lumberjacks would get the best of Esko, 9-1 on their home field at Braun Park.

Allie Jones tossed five innings of no-hit ball and struck out 12

Cloquet improves to 10-6 and will next play at Proctor on Tuesday.

Esko (11-6) will try and bounce back against Greenway/Nashwauk-Keewatin also on Tuesday.

In other softball action, South Ridge extended their win streak to seven, defeating Duluth Denfeld 6 to 3.

South Ridge is now 12-4 and will host Two Harbors on Wednesday.

Denfeld falls to 2-14 and will take on Greenway/Nashwauk-Keewatin on Thursday.
