Duluth Salvation Army Hoping To Sell More Tickets For Black And White Ball

DULUTH, Minn. — The Duluth Salvation Army is looking for more dance partners for their new event happening Thursday.

The Black and White Ball will be taking place at the Clyde Malting Building. The organization hopes this fundraiser will be their new annual event which would replace the annual Civic Luncheon that happens in November. The event will feature a social hour with appetizers and mocktails, a dinner with dessert, dance, silent auction, and a wine pull. It is also a chance for community members to get to know people at the Salvation Army.

“We’re here all year-round for people which means we still do need to fundraiser all year. And while it’s great to be here and see that how we’re helping in person every day. I think if people came in or if they volunteer they would really get a sense for that especially like if you came through the lunch line or something you would see the people that are here pretty much every day. And you know I’m just trying to support that but also provide something that’s fun for people to get out as well,” said Cyndi Lewis, Director of Development at the Duluth Salvation Army.

All of the funds raised go towards the Salvation Army’s programs. The Black and White Ball goes from 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursday. Tickets can be purchased on their website linked here.
