DULUTH, Minn.- Former Duluth East hockey coach Mike Randolph has found his next gig.
Pending school board approval, Randolph is set to lead Northern Lakes boys hockey next winter.
The school confirmed the news with FOX 21.
“The Pequot Lakes School District is excited to announce the hiring of Mike Randolph as the next Northern Lakes Boys Hockey Head Coach, pending school board approval. The selection process consisted of an interview with administration and current district coaches as well as reference and background checks. Coach Randolph brings an extensive hockey coaching background, which includes a focus on player development. The coaches and advisors of the Pequot Lakes School District have a rich history of developing student leadership and competing at a high-level, which also aligns with Coach Randolph’s experiences. “
The former Greyhound spent the last three seasons at St. Thomas Academy. Just this past year, he would lead the Cadets to the Section 3AA title game.
Randolph is one win away from becoming the all-time winningest coach in Minnesota High School hockey history.
