Duluth Rowing Club Hosts Open House
DULUTH, Minn. — The Duluth Rowing Club kicked off its season with an open house on Saturday.
The rowing club invited people out to meet coaches, tour the boathouse and learn about rowing programs.
Rowing machines were even set up for those looking to test their technique.
The club has adult learn to row classes, a junior program and adult recreational and competitive rowing.
“After COVID our numbers really have dropped, especially with our junior club members,” said Andrea Rosenberg, Duluth Rowing Club, Junior Co-Head Coach. “And so, (we’re) just trying to get the word out about rowing again, and to know that it’s here, it exists and it’s a really cool opportunity for kids in the area.”
The Duluth Rowing Club will be hosting rowing teams from across the Midwest and Canada for the Duluth International Regatta on July 13th The course is on the Superior Bay and typically brings in 300 to 400 rowers
