Duluth’s Best Bread Opens Superior Location

SUPERIOR, Wis. — Duluth’s Best Bread celebrated the opening of their Superior location Tuesday.

The bakery hosted a few pop-up shops earlier this year and they were very successful selling out each time. The new location was built with a bigger infrastructure to make more inventory for the store. One item that highlights Superior is their cheese curd bread that uses cheese from Wisconsin. There is also art and craftsmanship that went into the store with a mural and tables made of reclaimed wood.

“We figured as long as we can get as close to the people as possible that opening stores in different neighborhoods is a way of getting a product that people are driving for. But perhaps you know they might feel like parking is hard or they might have to cross the bridge. Giving them the option to get it closer to home is really enjoyable for us and for them. I think it’s better for everybody that way,” said Robert Lillegard, co-owner of Duluth’s Best Bread.

For those who have never tried their goods, the co-owner recommends starting with sourdough bread, a plain croissant or black coffee and then build from there.
