Cherry Baseball Heading to State Tournament for First Time Since 2008
This is the 3rd time in program history that the Tigers have advanced to the state tournament. (1997, 2008, 2024)
VIRGINIA, Minn.- The Cherry baseball team needed just one win on Thursday to advance to their first state tournament in 16 years.
South Ridge made them work for it though as they took game one 9 to 3 in the Section 7A finals.
In game two, the Tigers bounced back for the 4-1 win, snapping the lengthy drought.
