Vacant Cabin Burns Down Near Babbitt

BABBITT, Minn. — The Babbitt and Morse-Fall Lake Fire Departments responded to a structure fire at YMCA Camp Northern Lights early Sunday morning.

According to the Northland FireWire, a fire was reported at around 7:10 a.m. Babbitt Fire Chief Tony Chamberlin said firefighters found a cabin that had burned overnight. The cabin was vacant at the time.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown, but not suspicious.
