Update: Boy Hit By Falling Tree Rescued In BWCA

BOUNDARY WATERS, Minn.:  A boy who was struck by a falling tree in the BWCA Tuesday during severe weather has been rescued, according to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office.

Rescue crews reached the 9-year-old around 9 p.m. Tuesday.

He was transported to a boat landing and arrived there at 11 p.m. before being taken by ambulance to North Shore Health in Grand Marais.

The official condition of the boy was not available Wednesday evening.
