Water Pumps Sell Out at Iron Range L&M Fleet Supply Stores
HIBBING, Minn. — After many basements in Hibbing were flooded from the most recent severe storm, the L&M Fleet Supply Store quickly sold out of water pumps.
L&M said the pumps were completely sold out Tuesday night, and a special order was delivered for customers who might still be experiencing flooding in their home.
Sump Pumps are used to remove large amounts of water from an area.
L&M store managers said homeowners purchased pumps to suction water out of basements, or replace current pumps, which can get burnout after running for long periods of time.
“The ones we’re selling through are what you would most commonly call a sump pump or a utility pump,” said Sheila Block, &M Fleet Supply Assistant Store Manager. “That’s what you’re going to use when you have just an unexpected amount of water somewhere, some people have them in their home permanently depending on how their basements might be, things like that.”
Additional pumps were added to the Virginia L&M Fleet Supply Store, as pumps were sold out there as well.
