Former Bulldogs Cava & Morin Re-Sign with Respective PWHL Teams
Both players began the year with PWHL Minnesota. Morin finished her season with Boston.
DULUTH, Minn.- The free agency period for the PWHL is officially underway.
Former Bulldog Sidney Morin has decided to stay put after agreeing to a one-year deal with Boston.
Morin, who originally was selected by PWHL Minnesota in the draft, found some success in Bean Town, posting 4 points in the regular season.
She also would find the stat sheet in the postseason, putting up two assists in eight games.
Morin last suited up for UMD in 2017.
She’s had stops in Sweden and Switzerland before landing in the PWHL.
Another former Bulldog has decided to remain with her current team.
Michela Cava is coming back to PWHL Minnesota on a one-year contract.
Cava played a huge role for Minnesota in the postseason, scoring four goals and helping with four assists. Of course, Cava and Minnesota went on to win the Walter Cup in the league’s inaugural season.
Before the postseason, she had five goals and three assists in 24 games of action.
Minnesota selected Cava in the 12th round of the 2023 draft.
