2 Water Rescues On Same Day In Boundary Waters
BOUNDARY WATERS, Minn. — Two water rescues happened in less than two hours Tuesday in the BWCA.
The first accident happened around 3:30 p.m.
A man and his 14-year-old son capsized their canoe on Bald Eagle Lake.
They got to shore, but had no way out, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
The office’s search and rescue team was called in.
Both victims were wearing life jackets.
Nobody was hurt.
Then around 5 p.m., authorities were called out to another capsized canoe on Bald Eagle Lake.
Two adults and two teenagers were able to get the canoe back and head to an island.
Rescues crews responded to the island to get them to their vehicle.
All were wearing life jackets.
Nobody was hurt.
