Huskies’ Early Lead Extinguished in 5th Straight Loss
Huskies fall below .500 mark
DULUTH, Minn.- The Duluth Huskies couldn’t shake off their growing losing streak, falling 4-2 to the Waterloo Bucks for their fifth consecutive loss.
Duluth scored first in the bottom of the fourth inning on a sac fly from Boots Landry. However, Waterloo quickly responded with two runs in the top of the fifth before adding to their lead in the eighth and ninth innings.
Now at 14-15 overall, the Huskies are below the .500 mark for the first time since May 29 when they were 1-2. Duluth will have another chance to snap their losing streak Friday night at Wade Stadium.
