RV Lost in Greenwood Township Fire

GREENWOOD TOWNSHIP, Minn. — An RV was fully engulfed by flames in an intersection just west of Tower, MN, early Wednesday morning.

This happened around 1 a.m. The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office responded to the fire on the intersection of County Road 77 and Lake Vermillion Reservation Road, in rural Greenwood Township.

According to the report, the RV was turning onto Lake Vermillion Reservation Road when the engine overheated and shut down. The driver of the RV was the only person in the vehicle and had no reported injuries.

The Greenwood and Tower fire departments responded to the scene and was able to put the fire out. The RV is considered a total loss and there was minimal damage to surrounding property.
