103rd South St. Louis County Fair Back In Proctor
PROCTOR, Minn. — The 103rd annual South St. Louis County Fair is back this week.
The fun takes place at the Proctor Fair Grounds with each day full of activities for all ages. There is live entertainment, carnival rides, food, and plenty of animals to see. A big part of the fair is introducing people to agriculture. Fair organizers attend a convention every year in Minneapolis to learn everything they can.
“We go to the convention, and we have junior speakers and they got their heads on pretty good, and they get a grasp of what agriculture means. You’re trying to feed a whole nation or the world and they understand the grassroots of it is right in their backyard,” said George Korich, Vice President of the fair.
Of course, the fair is all about keeping the kids entertained. One family spoke about their favorite activity and why they attend.
“Mirror maze. Yeah cause she ran into the wall a lot and that was fun. She ran into the wall a lot and that was very funny so,” said members of the Bins family from Duluth. “I brought them up here cause you know it’s a good summer activity for them. They’re very energetic kids so, they like to be out and about doing stuff so.”
The South St. Louis County Fair is happening until Sunday. A full list of events is on their website listed here.
