MOUNTAIN IRON, Minn.- A Mountain Iron-Buhl Ranger is staying close to home.

Monday night, Offensive and defensive lineman Chris King announced his commitment to UMD.

King was a monster on the defensive side of the ball, putting up 69 tackles, which was 2nd best on the team. He also led MIB with nine sacks.

King received plenty of interest from division one and division two teams with Bemidji State, North Dakota, North Dakota State, and Iowa State as some of the teams that reached out to the six foot four senior.
