Life House Welcomes New Executive Director
DULUTH, Minn. — A non-profit organization helping youth recently welcomed a new executive director to the team.
Amber Sadowski worked at Life House from 2015 to 2022 and served as the Operations Director. Altogether she brings 9 years of non-profit experience to the team. She is looking forward to continuing her efforts in helping youth in need. Over time Life House has expanded from only being a Drop-in Youth Center to now providing Mental Health & Wellness, and Education and Employment services. They are committed to adding housing as well. By the end of summer there will be over 50 units of housing available for youth.
“Unfortunately, I think that there’s more and more needs that are in our community right now. I know that rents are really high and those are really prohibitive for people getting housed through that avenue. We know our housing costs are high and so, yeah unfortunately I think that there’s just a lot more need,” said Sadowski.
Life House provides services to youth ages 14 to 24. Just last year they served 800 youth. 97% of them were low-income or extremely low-income.
