The North Shore Scenic Railroad is Offering Its Barbecue Dinner Train Once Again

DULUTH, Minn. — All aboard for barbecue! The North Shore Scenic Railroad is once again offering Summer BBQ in the SkyView.

The trip up the North Shore offers Famous Dave’s barbecue with a side of lakeshore views. According to the railroad’s General Manager Ken Buehler, they have been offering this experience for a few years. It’s an important part of bringing excitement to the decades-old train ride tradition.

“The North Shore Scenic Railroad is in the tourist industry, which is extremely important to Duluth,” Buehler said. “In the summertime, this is Duluth. We are a tourist destination. Tourism is a wonderful, wonderful thing if you can keep reinventing yourself and adding new experiences, because everybody wants the newest and best experience.”

Buehler said this summer has been normal so far, which for the North Shore Scenic Railroad, means busy. The barbecue dinner train is one of their most popular, enjoyed by all ages. Because, Buehler said, who doesn’t enjoy barbecue?
