Civic Center Farmers Market Filled With Local Vendors

DULUTH, Minn. — The 6th annual Civic Center Farmers Market is back in Duluth with local vendors.

Eggs, meat, and homemade baked goods were among items there on Thursday. Plants, flowers, soaps, crafts, live music and food trucks, too. Superior Currents is an art business that features driftwood earrings and necklaces made with beach glass. The art is heavily inspired by Lake Superior. The owner even designed a logo for the Lake that she hand paints on a variety of goods.

“First of all, it’s amazing to be part of this community. I love Duluth, I’ve travelled the world and I just think Duluth has such an awesome energy about it and so whenever I can come and be a part of a community event like this, it brings me a lot of joy,” said McKenzie Capsner, owner of Superior Currents. “It’s fun to see new people and meet new artists and vendors and have the opportunity to be asked to be a part of it. So yeah, and have live music, beautiful sunshine, it’s great!”

The Market is held every Thursday from 11 in the morning until 1:30 p.m. It’ll run through September. The Civic Center is in front of the St. Louis County Courthouse.
