Huskies Rally for Walk-Off Win Ahead of All-Star Break

0.5 games out of first place in Great Plains East

DULUTH, Minn.- The Duluth Huskies defeated the Eau Claire Express 7-6 in walk-off fashion in their final game before the All-Star break on Sunday at Wade Stadium.

The Huskies trailed 6-0 through three innings, giving up two home runs in the process. However, Duluth clawed back, scoring three runs in the fourth inning and tying the game in the seventh. In the bottom of the ninth, Joe Vos hit a single to left field, bringing in Charlie Sutherland for the game-winning run.

With this win, the Huskies are now 11-8 in the second half of the season, putting them 0.5 games behind the Thunder Bay Border Cats for first place in the Great Plains East division.

Following the All-Star break, the Huskies will have eight series remaining, starting with two games against the Minnesota Mud Puppies on Thursday and Friday at Wade Stadium.
