Chisholm Armory Hosts Open House For Community
CHISHOLM, Minn. — There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes of the Army National Guard.
On Saturday, Military members at the Chisholm Armory had the opportunity to show the community what they all do. People could check out the armory’s fleet of vehicles. Guests also had the chance to climb inside and look around. There was a lot of fun activities for the kids, like a bounce house. This type of event is especially important to the soldiers and their loved ones.
“It’s not only important to the soldiers interact, but their families to see what the soldiers do. For them to connect with each other,” said Cpt. Jean Cruz, Delta Company Commander 134th BSB.
The open house drew in service members both young and old, giving them a time to reminisce and catch up.
“My favorite part is seeing people I enlisted ten summers ago, and seeing them being overly successful in their career,” said 1SG Amanda Hunt, recruiter.
