Summer Produce is Ready at the Superior Downtown Farmers Market

Market Still

SUPERIOR, Wis. — The Superior Downtown Farmers Market is going strong as we hit the halfway point of summer.

The market features produce such as eggs and veggies. There are also homemade baked goods, maple syrup and other seasonal items.

All of the vendors are from the Douglas County Area, giving the market a local touch. And new this year at the market are art vendors.

One organizer said the produce has been changing as summer has moved in.

“We are now moving into the summer season, we’re seeing tomatoes showing up, lots of cucumbers, lots of peas, snap peas, green beans, all of the things that typically you would see in late spring into early summer market,” said Sue Ann Dumke, Market Manager.

The farmers market is held every Wednesday from 11 until 2 p.m. on the 1200 block of Banks Avenue through October.
