Megan Gustafson Shines Once Again as Spain Advances to Quarterfinals of Olympics

Spain and Gustafson will next face Serbia on Saturday.

PORT WING, Wis.- Port Wing native Megan Gustafson is making the most of her first Olympic experience.

Wednesday’s matchup against Puerto Rico featured another nail biter for her and her Spain teammates.

Gustafson shined once again, putting up a game-high 18 points and 13 rebounds.

Spain was able to hold off Puerto Rico 63 to 62 to improve to 2-0 in Group A pool play.

With the win, Gustafson and Spain automatically qualify for the quarterfinals.

They’ll next face Serbia to wrap up pool play on Saturday. Tip-off is at 6:30 AM.
