Morning Weather Forecast: Thursday, August 1, 2024

The month of July 2024 let us know what summer is supposed to feel like. It was hot, it was humid, and it made us long for just a little bit of fall in the air. Now that we’ve flipped the page into August, that cool change is just a couple days away.

A low pressure system to our south will bring us a spritz of rain today, before it heads off to the east. High pressure from Manitoba will slide our way later today, setting us up for a couple of sunny days as we head into the weekend. Friday will be what could be our last chance to flirt with a high around 90 this summer, and Saturday will drop us back into the 80s. But, the big change comes Saturday night, when a cool front from Canada ushers in a nice serving of cool air that will take our high temps into the 70s for Sunday into the first full workweek of the new month.

Our next chance for rain will be Saturday night, and then on Monday. At this point, neither of those will be very memorable. Nor do they look severe. So, we can appreciate the moisture for our lawns, without having to worry about branches coming down. Friday is almost here, so we all have that to look forward to!
