Pick Your Own Blueberries in Cloquet
CLOQUET, Minn. — Did you know you can pick blueberries right here in the Northland?
Blackbirds and Blueberries is located in Cloquet, with 3 acres of bountiful berry bushes to pick from. Customers can pluck to their heart’s content, and owners say there’s no need to fear sticker shock when the day is done.
“We’ll supply the buckets that you can pick in. And then when you get ready to go home, if you have your own containers to take, that’s fine. If not, we have containers that we just supply with the folks, and they can take their berries. I was always agitated when you go to experience something, and it’s $1 for this or $10 for that, or $5 for this extra and it’s a lot of extra money for something that you’re going to need. So, we realize people need it and it’s just supplied with,” said Tim Eaton, owner of Blackbirds and Blueberries.
Owner Tim says berry season started early this year, with most of the crop ripe and ready to pick right now. Hours vary, so call (218) 879-8193 to find out when they are open.
