Arrowhead Transit Now Serving Hibbing

HIBBING, Minn. — Arrowhead Transit’s new system in Hibbing is officially open for business.

A ribbon cutting happened at Hibbing City Hall on Thursday. The new transportation system will make regular stops at Walmart, the Public Library, and Super One. A Dial-A-Ride Service will also start up in Hibbing, allowing people to schedule a pick-up from anywhere within the service area.
Hibbing previously had its own bus service, but that service has decreased over the years.

“The only way that some people can get to their health care resources is via public transportation. Whether they don’t have a driver’s license anymore or maybe are seeking different transportation options whether it be a greener transportation option or a cheaper transportation option. And that’s why we’re here,” said Dominick Olivanti, Marketing and Public Relations Director.

Arrowhead Transit hopes to expand public transportation across the Iron Range as they hire more staff.
