Bryant Elementary PTO Rummage Sale This Weekend
SUPERIOR, Wis. — The annual Bryant Elementary PTO Rummage Sale is underway.
The school is located on Central Avenue in Superior. The Parent Teacher Organization hosts the event receiving donated items from school families and the surrounding community. All proceeds go toward bus rides, school supplies, yearbooks, and free events for students.
The PTO President says it is hard to find the funding for stuff needed in schools right now.
“Classes are getting kind of combined at recess so, I know we’re trying to get a Gaga Pit outside for the kids. And then planning the free events throughout the year is definitely something to look forward to. We do trunk or treat; we do a boutique in the winter so kids can purchase stuff for their family. And then random popcorn sales and stuff. And all of that brings you know a lot of joy to not only the kids but the staff and everybody and it kind of brings them together for a little bit of camaraderie I think at the end of the day,” said Jackie Ledin, PTO President.
Items for sale include clothes, shoes, toys, Halloween costumes and books. The rummage sale will be back on Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.
