The Heat is On...For Two More Days

July was a hot one! And, it felt like the heat and humidity would never end. But we are now past the peak heating period of summer, and the days are getting shorter. As a result, our seemingly endless streak of hazy, hot and humid days is finally coming to an end.

This weekend, two cool fronts will make the trek from Canada into northern Minnesota, bringing our high temps from the mid 80’s into the low 70’s by Monday. Along with that change in temps, there will also be a small chance for rain showers both Saturday evening and on Monday. Nothing looks severe at this point. And neither of these periods of rain will bring a whole lot of moisture either. But, it’s been pretty dry lately, so I’ll be happy for my lawn with whatever we do get.

So, enjoy the next couple days of sunshine and warmth. Coming Sunday, a return to more average temps, with highs in the upper 70’s and lows in the 50’s. Have a great weekend!
