UMD Women’s Hockey Adds Brykaliuk & Soares to Coaching Staff

Brykaliuk and Soares are the first two hires done by new head coach Laura Schuler.

DULUTH, Minn.- Two new assistant coaches have joined the UMD women’s hockey program.

One is already familiar with the team and that is Ashleigh Brykaliuk, who was an assistant before stepping away in 2021.

She also played her college hockey at UMD from 2013 to 2017.

The new face is Olivia Soares, who joins the team after spending the last two years at Union College.

She played at Ohio State from 2016 to 2020.

These are the first two hires done by new head coach Laura Schuler.
