Direct Admissions Introduced for Wisconsin Universities

SUPERIOR, Wis. — Getting a start in college can be easier than ever for Wisconsin high school seniors.

Applying for universities can be a difficult, and expensive task. A new program called Direct Admit Wisconsin is giving high school seniors the option to be directly enrolled in 10 University of Wisconsin schools. After opting in, the nominees will receive an email about next steps, and provide a list of schools they’re automatically enrolled in. To be eligible, students must remain on track for high school graduation, and meet the requirements for admissions.

“It really is a simplified process for students,” said Ben Mooney, Director of Admissions for UW Superior. “And those options are still there. So, for students who aren’t participating in this, they can still fill out our application. It’s free, it’s accessible, all students have the option to attend.”

Admissions is recommending the class of 2025 to keep an eye on their school emails for more information about this opportunity.
