Tuesday Morning Northland Forecast: August 6, 2024

Cooler Than Average Week

After having above average temps all last week, we’ve flipped to the other end of the thermometer, as this week will be mostly below average temps. The average high for today is 78 degrees, and we will be a bit below that, with a high of about 74. The rest of the week we’ll have high temps between 68 and 75, so it really will be a little below average. Our dewpoints will be in the 50s all week, so it we be very comfortable weather to spend time outdoors.

We could use some more moisture, and a low pressure system coming out of the northern plains will bring us a decent chance for rain on Wednesday afternoon. At this point, it doesn’t look like anything severe. Rainfall amounts are predicted to be about a tenth of an inch, with more expected in far northwest Minnesota. The rain chance continues into Thursday morning. After that, we look dry through the weekend. So, enjoy this first full week of August. It’s some of the nicest weather of the year!
