Aspirus St. Luke’s Unveils New $14 Million Parking Ramp

DULUTH, Minn. — A new 14-million-dollar city-owned parking ramp is now open at Aspirus St. Luke’s in Duluth.

The previous ramp was becoming a safety concern. The top level was even blocked off as a precaution. Construction on the new ramp began in May of last year before the switch to Aspirus. Thanks to a grant from the Minnesota Employment and Economic Development there are now 330 spaces available in the lot.

The goal is to eliminate stress for patients, especially when it comes to Duluth’s harsh winters.

“It’s just close, right? And much of the parking is under a roof. So, when we think of the number of months we spend in snow, or cold, the more we can help our patients who are often struggling with an illness, inside directly into a true indoor space,” said Dr. Nick Van Deleen, MN Region President of Aspirus St. Luke’s.

The public is also able to park in the new ramp.
