Wednesday Morning Northland Forecast 8/7/24

A Little Rain, Please!

My lawn has pretty much stopped growing. It’s been plenty warm out, but it’s been so dry these last few weeks, that my grass hasn’t grown in two weeks! I would be just fine if we get a half inch or more of rain in the next 24 hours. Thanks to a low pressure system coming out of the Dakotas, it looks like my wish will be granted!

High pressure we’ve enjoyed the last several days is moving to the East coast. A pair of lows and associated cold fronts taking their place will produce showers and possibly some thunderstorms in the next 24 hours. The Twin Ports could see a half inch or more of rain before the system exits the area, late Thursday morning. We will have cooler air coming in behind the storm system, producing high temps in the 60s the next two days. For the weekend, look for more sunshine, and windy conditions, with highs in the low to mid 70s.

Have a great Wednesday. The weekend is almost here!
