Another Perfect Summer Day!
You might call these the ‘dog days’ of summer. It’s sunny and warm, a little humid, and with light winds to take the edge off. But, that sounds a little negative. I think these are the most perfect days of the whole summer! In a few months, we will be longing for days like this, when we didn’t have to wear leather gloves, a winter hat, and 4 or 5 layers of clothes. So, I am going to appreciate every hour of summery warmth that we can get!
Today will be just like yesterday, and a lot like tomorrow. A huge area of high pressure is centered right over us. That means more of the same kind of weather. Sunny, with light winds, and a high around 80. The average high for today is 77, so we are right about where we want to be. But, we know that weather is always changing, and our change is not far away. Two areas of low pressure will push in from the west late Wednesday night, into Thursday morning. Look for about a day and a half of pretty good rain, with amounts going as high as 2″ in some areas. It’s been dry, so I’m glad to see the rain come. At this time, I don’t see anything severe developing. We will let you know if that changes. Our high temps will drop into the upper 60s for Thursday and Friday.
Timing is important in weather, and ours will be perfect heading into the weekend. High pressure will move the storm system out, and we are looking for more sunshine to return for Saturday and Sunday, with highs in the mid 70s both days. Summer is not over yet, so enjoy the next two days as much as you can!
