Wednesday Morning Northland Forecast: 8/14/2024
Sunny Today, Rain On The Way
All good things must come to an end…for awhile. Today is our 4th consecutive day of sunshine and warmth. And, it will also be our last, until the weekend. We have been living under a massive high pressure area since Sunday. Now, two low pressure systems are rolling out of the plains states, and heading to the Northland. A couple days of much needed rain are on the way.
Look for sunny skies and highs in the upper 70s today. Late tonight, the rain will move in from the Dakotas, and it will hang around for most of the day on Thursday. That will also knock our high temps into the mid 60s. So, it will feel much different Thursday morning, than it has for the last 4 or 5 days. Some parts of the Northland will see up to 2″ of rain, while most of us will see about an inch of rain throughout the day on Thursday. By Friday, the rainy weather will begin to pull off to the east, but it will remain mainly cloudy, with highs in the low 70s. The weekend will see a return of sunshine, with highs back up in the mid 70s.
If you have mowing to do (like I do), I recommend getting it done today! Or, wait til Saturday. That will be just fine, too.
