Duluth Native Greg Anderson Enters Crucial Weekend of Racing at NHRA Nationals
Anderson, who is the 2nd winningest driver in NHRA history, has already had a successful season so far, picking up two wins.
BRAINERD, Minn.- For the 2nd straight year, Duluth native and pro stock driver Greg Anderson is making his way to Brainerd to compete in the NHRA Lucas Oil Nationals.
Anderson, who is the 2nd winningest driver in NHRA history, has already had a successful season so far, picking up two wins.
Anderson says this weekend’s races are crucial for himself and his team. Entering this weekend, Anderson and company are 2nd in the standings in points with two races left until the playoff cutoff.
He added he’s pretty confident heading into B-I-R.
“We’ve been very, very close. We’re there. We have the performance we need, that parts done. That’s the toughest part. First of all, you have to come up with a performance and if you don’t have that, you can’t win. But, we have the performance, we can win any race we go to as long as we execute. Just going to have to execute, no mistakes, absolutely no mistakes. You know the pressure is up this time of the year. But, I love that. I think my entire team loves extra motivation, extra pressure. So, all of those things together are going to get us to focus extra hard this weekend,” said Anderson.
You can catch all the action on FOX 21 on Sunday at 2 PM.
We’ll also have more with Anderson in this week’s Coaches Corner on Friday at 9:30 PM.
