Four Killed, Including Two Children, in Highway 2 Collision
ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Minn. — Two children were among the four fatalities in a five-vehicle crash that occurred on the afternoon of Wednesday, August 14, on Highway 2 near Floodwood.
The Minnesota State Patrol reports a semi truck traveling at highway speeds collided with several vehicles stopped for construction.
Among the vehicles hit was a Honda Pilot, which carried the four victims.
They have been identified as 65-year-old Vincent Dow, who was driving, and passengers 66-year-old Bonnie Dow, and 9-year-olds Hope Oakgrove and Charlotte White, all from Blackduck.
The State Patrol confirms that all four were wearing their seatbelts.
Three other individuals involved in the crash were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Minnesota State Patrol is continuing its investigation into this tragic accident.
