Thursday Morning Northland Forecast: 8/15/2024

Some Welcome Rain

After four straight days of sunshine and August warmth, it’s time to green up the Northland with an inch or so of much needed moisture. And, why not? Most of us are at work for the next two days, and as long as the weekend weather looks great (which it does!), bring on some rain to help the grass, flowers and trees.

The low pressure system sliding over us today and Friday is a fairly quick mover. It’s also being nudged by a high pressure dome coming out of the northern plains. So, this rainy period won’t last that long. Look for Thursday to be mostly cloudy, with a bit of fog in low lying areas. Officially, our rain chance is about 90%, but that doesn’t mean it will rain all day. But conditions will be such that it may seem that way. After a toasty high of 79 on Wednesday, we’ll shoot for about 67 degrees for a high on Thursday, with persistent east winds off the lake all day. More clouds and rain on Friday, as the low pulls away. And, by Saturday, we will look for sunshine to increase, along with the temps, with a high of about 78 degrees. Sunday brings more fun in the sun, with a high of 77.

Perfect timing for the weekend!
