A Warmer Weekend
I thought it was great that we got 1.25″ of rain on Thursday! That was much appreciated by my dry, dusty lawn that I mowed on Wednesday. We had been pretty dry for about two weeks, so the moisture was quite welcome. But now, it’s time for the weekend, and with half of August in the rearview mirror, we need some sunshine and warmth to return!
A huge area of high pressure will shove the slow moving low off to the east coast, and for us, that means a return to summer! After some early clouds and fog on Saturday morning, look for sunshine to return Saturday afternoon, with highs heading into the mid 70s. It will be even more summery on Sunday, with more fun in the sun, and highs heading up to the upper 70s. We start the third week of August with 5 straight days of sunshine and warm temps. The average high for this time of the year is 75 degrees, and we will be right about there for all of next week. Models indicate our next chance for rain will be late next week, and by then, we will be glad to get it!
Have a wonderful weekend!
