Mayor Declares August 15th as “Harbor Monsters Day”

DULUTH, Minn. — There were lots to celebrate Thursday with the Duluth Harbor Monsters Football team.

The group was congratulated for completing their first ever season. To celebrate this occasion, Mayor Roger Reinert declared the day, as “Harbor Monsters Day.”

The monsters played a great season, and at one point had a winning streak of five games in a row. Later on, they even headed to championships.
In addition, they were presented some awards. The players reminisce over the season.

“It was a fantastic season for sure. We had our ups and downs. But we ended up turning it around for the city of Duluth. I want to thank the fans, and the teammates. Love y’all to death. My brothers,” said Ledarian McAllister, one of the Harbor Monsters players.

The future is looking bright for this team. They’re already gearing up for the next season!
