Getting Ready for a Great Summer Weekend!

The rain last night was pretty unimpressive. In Duluth, officially we got .10″ of rain. I’m happy for the rain we did get, but a half inch would have been preferable. But, now we will move on to the next chapter in our continuing weather story!

We start this Friday with cloudy skies and light SW winds. It will stay mostly cloudy thru the noon hour, and then we should start to see some clearing from the west. Our normal high for today is 75, and we should end up right about there, give or take a degree. After an evening of partly cloudy skies, and lows around 60, Saturday will get us into a real nice weekend! Look for mainly sunny skies on both Saturday and Sunday, with highs around 80 both days. If you’re heading to the Cities for the State Fair, they are looking for a high near 90 on Sunday! You will also notice an increase in humidity this weekend. If fact, by Monday, we could have dew points approaching 70 degrees in Duluth. That is sauna-like. That could also help to produce some showers and thunderstorms on Monday afternoon. After that, the rest of next week looks mostly dry, with highs in the mid 70s for the last week of August.

So, the last full weekend of August is upon us, and it looks terrific! Enjoy!
