Shots Fired Around Duluth’s Woodland Avenue Sunday

DULUTH, Minn. – Duluth Police are investigating a shooting just south of the UMD campus that took place Sunday afternoon.
Officers responded to the 600 block of Woodland Avenue around 1 p.m. on August 25, 2024. When they arrived, they located casings in the area, but no injuries.
As of early Sunday evening, they have determined the shooting occurred following a “verbal altercation”. They add those suspected to be involved have been uncooperative.
This incident remains an active and ongoing investigation.
This is the second shooting incident Duluth Police are investigating from this weekend. Two people were injured after shots were fired along the edge of the downtown area early Saturday morning.
