Duluth Public Library Celebrates Pride
DULUTH, Minn. — The Duluth Public Library is working in conjunction with the Duluth Superior Pride Festival to offer some fun events.
On Friday at the West Duluth Branch Library families got to attend a Drag Story Time. A guest performer came in and truly brought some books to life. The Library Manager says their mission is to be a place that welcomes everybody and offer a variety of material. Events like these are well received and help connect families. This is the 3rd year the library has offered these events.
“These special story times give us a chance to kind of mix it up and give kids a chance to see all kinds of people from all different backgrounds and walks of life enjoy reading and reading to them,” said Carla Powers, Duluth Public Library Manager.
The Duluth Public Library will be at the Pride Festival on Saturday with their Little Library Go van. And then again in the parade on Sunday.
