Lewis, Paine, Adamski break off big runs
DULUTH, Minn.- Three Minnesota football teams were able to pull of game-breaking touchdown runs in their season-opening games this week.
At number three, Hermantown’s Aidan Adamski pulled off a 41-yard touchdown, marking his first touchdown as a Hawk following his transfer from Duluth Marshall (previously played for Two Harbors).
At number two, Mesabi East’s Landon Paine dashed 67 yards off a jet sweep for a touchdown against South Ridge, contributing to the Giants’ win over the Panthers.
At number one, Duluth East’s Michael Lewis spun away from an Esko tackler before taking it 61 yards to the end zone, marking his second touchdown of the day. Lewis and the Greyhounds would go on to hand Esko its first regular season loss since 2020.
