The Great Northern Classic Rodeo Concluded Year 33 in Superior
SUPERIOR, Wis.– All cowboys and cowgirls gathered at the Head of the Lakes Fairgrounds in Superior as The Great Northern Classic Rodeo wrapped up with its final show of the weekend.
This is the 33rd year of the Superior rodeo where people could enjoy food, drinks, and the matinee performance. A few of the events included bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, and a fan favorite bull riding. The Superior rodeo is volunteer driven by people within the community. One rodeo organizer spoke about the importance of volunteers in putting together the annual show.
“Without our volunteers, we don’t have these community events. A lot of times when these community events go away for one year, they don’t come back. So, we want these family-friendly community events to continue. We need volunteers, we need our community to participate,” said Carrie Kinnear, president of The Great Northern Classic Rodeo.
