Four Current UMD Women’s Hockey Players Selected for National Team Duty

Former Bulldogs Ashton Bell, Jocelyn Larocque, and Elizabeth Giguere were also named to Canada's national team camp.

DULUTH, Minn.- In just 18 days, the UMD women’s hockey team will hit the ice for their season opener at Ohio State.

But before they get their campaign going, four members of the team were selected for national team duty.

They are goaltender Eve Gascon and forward Caitlin Kraemer, who were two of 48 players selected for the Canada national team’s camp later this month.

Plus, defender Ida Karlsson, who skated for Sweden and Nina Jobst-Smith, who played for Germany at the Women’s Euro Hockey tour last week in Switzerland.
